4UDating Valentines Competition

Written by Sarah on 2nd February 2011

It is fast approaching the day of love in 2011, so we thought what better way to celebrate Valentines 2011 than giving you the chance to be spoiled with chocolates and champagne.

We’ve put together a really easy competition for you to have a chance to win a bottle of Bollinger Champagne and Thorntons very own Love Chocolate collection complete with a bag and lots of yummy chocs. All you need to do is leave a comment in this post telling us what you think would be the ideal present for a loved one on Valentines day. The more creative, the better! Make sure you also tweet out the message below on Twitter to ensure you enter and dont forget to leave your twitter name in the comments too so we can contact you if you win!

We will then select one lucky winner to receive over £60 worth of chocolate and champagne to reach you before valentines day so you can celebrate in style!

How to enter?

Simply leave a comment in the post below telling us what you think the ideal Valentines present would be for your loved one and Tweet about the competition on Twitter using the message below. You can be as creative as you like and it might be something simple, expensive, cheap, or maybe not even a product, it’s your decision.

Twitter Message

#Win Champagne &  Chocolate worth £60+ in the @4UDating #valentines #competition – RT this & Leave a Comment http://bit.ly/gBbmoE

The Winner

The winner will be chosen by the people who run 4UDating and whilst the type of response you give is yours alone, you are more likely to be picked out for your creativity, so try not to leave a message which simply says “A car” for instance!

Weather pending it would definitely be agreeing to trust him at last to throw me off a hill with him attached..oh and a paraglider. Thank goodness he would be there behind me giving me a quick pat of reassurance every so often since I have a massive fear of heights. I would do this for no other. Obviously we would have to either land near a suitably romantic cosy coal fire warmed pub or be prepared with a winter picnic and a hipflask of rejuvanating brandy to revive me…a kiss might work too.

  81. An Android phone, so we can be in close contact all the time.

I’ve retweeted, my username is @Ianthesunlover.

  82. That’s a very good question, 4UDating
For my Valentine, what would the ideal present be?
On that I’m pondering and debating
    A lovely weekend away, maybe?

A weekend in Paris with my Valentine
    Would be absolutely great
Romance and fun, we’ll wine and dine
We’ll each have a spring in our gait

Mon amor and I shall see the Louvre first
To the Mona Lisa we’ll say hello
In French culture we shall be immersed
Then time for a glass of Bordeaux

    A couple of croissants later
To the Champs Elysees for to shop
    Buying souvenirs with no translator
Oh dear, my french sucks, fullstop.

The gothic gargoyles of Notre Dame
And a train ride to Versailles
To all this beauty we will succumb
Loving this adventure, we cannot deny

Thru’ the Arc De Triomphe, seeing the sunset
Then to the lit Eiffel Tower, high atop
Our gaze sweeping around like a roulette
    Excitement in our blood, nonstop!

    Spending the weekend together, bliss
In the beautiful city of love
At 900 feet, my sweetheart and I kiss
Not exactly Mile High Club, but kind of ;o)

Back to the hotel, to freshen up and get glam
Sipping cocktails and listening to jazz
My baby’s arms around me, damn
There’s no one like him or half as good as

Romance, thick in the air as along the Seine
We take a candlelit dinner cruise
My gorgeous Valentine kisses me again
And in his deep blue eyes, my soul I lose

Unfortunately this is just a dream
The perfect Valentine’s gift for sure
If I could afford it, on my face, a beam
Would be fab to treat the man I adore

Sadly I don’t have much money
So I’ll get him a card and Simpsons socks
Unless, 4UDating, you favour this poor bunny
And send me the champers and chocs

We’ll enjoy them on the sofa, together
    While watching a rom-com DVD
Bubbly & Thorntons, what could be better
Than snuggling close, my Valentine and me

Thank you for such a fantastic competition! I’m following and retweeting @thunderbirdsGO

  83. Beverley Leek - 11th February, 2011

My idea of a perfect Valentines gift isn’t something tacky and over the top, nor is it something to break the bank. I wouldn’t care for fancy holidays or diamond rings. Spending Valentines day with the person I love is an amazing feeling, and the best present I could wish for would be a photo album, containing both o our favourite memories together from the past year, with photos, theatre tickets, train tickets etc in, I’d want to receive one every year, to show the build up of our relationship. It’s a thoughtfelt present and would come from he heart.

Heart shaped pancakes wouldn’t go a miss though ;)

The ideal gift for my boyfriend would be tickets to see Spurs play in Europe with a nice overnight stay in a lush hotel x
